Getting started
CLAWDER is a cozy cat puzzle. The first session is the board, the tray, and one rule: the run continues while you still have room for the next piece.
Install on iOS or Android
CLAWDER is available now on iPhone and Android. Both versions include the core 8×8 puzzle, Cat Mode boards, the Daily Challenge, and the Pet Store.
- App Store — iPhone, iOS 18.0 or later.
- Google Play — Android 8.0 or later.
Game progress and consumable Meow Bucks are stored on the device you are playing on. They do not move with you to a second phone. If you need a purchase restored or a refund, start at CLAWDER Support.
The board and the tray
The core board is an 8×8 grid. Your tray holds three pieces at a time. Drag a piece onto empty squares. If it does not fit, it will not land — pick another square or another piece.
Filling a horizontal row or a vertical column clears those blocks and scores. Clearing more than one line with the same placement scores a combo and opens more of the board at once. When the tray is empty, you get three more pieces.
A run ends only when none of the pieces left in the tray fit anywhere on the board. Keeping a pocket of open squares, especially for a 3×3 or an L-shape, is the whole early skill. The shapes themselves are on Blocks & shapes.
Nine lives, then midnight
You start each day with 9 lives, which reset at midnight local time. Additional lives are in the Pet Store, priced in Meow Bucks, if you want more the same day.
Meow Bucks are earned through gameplay — clearing lines, completing levels, and finishing daily challenges. You can also purchase Meow Bucks packs in the shop. That is an optional in-app purchase. It is not required to play the board in front of you.
Cat Mode
Cat Mode starts at level 10 and returns on later cat levels. The open rectangle gives way to a cat-shaped layout: some cells are already out of play, so a piece that fit on the plain 8×8 may not fit on the silhouette. You are still clearing rows and columns. You are just doing it inside a cat.
Daily Challenge
The Daily Challenge gives every player the same board that day. The piece order is seeded, so a solution you find is a solution on the same puzzle, not a different deal. It is a separate run from your main level climb, which makes it a safe place to practice the habits in the high score guide.
No ads, no loot boxes
Two studio rules were written down before the game, and they apply to every title KissyKat ships. CLAWDER has no ads: no banner, no video between rounds, no rewarded-ad prompt. CLAWDER has no loot boxes: every shop item shows exactly what it is before you get it. The longer version is Why CLAWDER has no ads.
